1957 Chevy Nomad Wagon!

1957 Chevrolet Nomad Wagon, Fresh And Beautiful!

This stunning and tastefully finished 1957 Chevy Nomad was a true diamond barn find and was tucked away in a dry barn for 38 years!  The odometer shows 58,000 miles and the lack of rust and wear on the car is an indicator that it could indeed be true mileage.

The owner is an advanced car collector and is never shy about spending the time and money to restore his cars to an appropriately high level.  This Nomad was treated to a 1.5 year restoration and has over $70,000 invested, not to mention the absurd number of hours as well!

The body was in excellent original condition prior to the restoration, straight, nearly rust free, and with excellent panel alignment and body gaps as well.  Impressively it retains its factory body panels and, as you can see, the fit, finish, and chrome work is well above average, all adding up to a very impressive car.  The paint scheme is tastefully done in Onyx Black and Inca Silver and it has a stellar gloss, too!  The original tailgate and lift gate were sent out to MadMooks Nomad specialists for a complete restoration as well.

The interior has been completely and faithfully redone including paint, headliner, seat upholstery, door panels, carpeting, steering wheel, trim, and the original radio works great, too!  A set of retractable seat belts were also installed for added peace of mind.

Mechanically this beautiful Wagon originally came with a 220hp Powerpack 283 V8, factory 4 barrel carburetor, and a  Powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission.  The current engine is not the original although it is a 1957 283 that has new bearings, seals, and freeze plugs.  Additionally the car came with the desirable options of power steering and power brakes.  Other items to note include the new dual exhaust system, new gas tank, new brake assemblies, and all mechanical components have been rebuilt including the generator, power steering, etc., too.  The tires are period appropriate wide white wall bias plies which give the car the desired vintage feel that takes you right back to the 1950's!

Other bonus features that will be included with this Nomad include a high grade car cover, factory repair and restoration manuals, aerosol cans of matched touch-up paint, and a handful of spare parts that were left after the restoration.

Overall this is an exceptional and thoroughly refinished Nomad that started with a truly remarkable and incredibly dry base.

Don't miss your chance to own this road ready beauty at a tremendous savings versus the cost of the restoration!  Thanks!
