1960 Mango Standard!

1960 Mango Green and Seagull Grey Standard Microbus with Walkthru Seating, 6 Popouts, and Safari Windows.  Fresh and Super Clean!

Here is a professionally restored and exceptionally well-done Mango Microbus that is incredibly clean inside, outside, and on the underside, too!  The Bus was faithfully restored by Octavio's in Orange, California, and has been on display inside a Volkswagen dealership showroom in Florida since completion.  It has seen very few miles and still shows as nicely as the day it was finished.  Octavio's has produced many show winning, magazine-featured, and stand out Buses over the years.

Some of the many features to note include the beautiful mirror-like finish in the original and much-loved colors, the Walkthru seating option (fairly rare to see on pre 1962 Buses), the correct short middle seat with the metal grab bar, 6 popout windows with the cool long spoon latches, safari windshields, wide white wall bias ply tires, and superb Caramel interior that is far nicer than most you'll ever see.

The body and paint finish are very nice, glossy, and straight.  All of the doors, thick lipped doglegs, flat wheels wells, outie vents, high hinge cargo doors, church key decklid, apron, and slash end bumpers are correct for the Bus as well.  The underside has been very well detailed and painted to match, as you can see.

The interior is superb, very faithful to the factory Caramel scheme, in color, materials, and fitment as well.  Without a doubt, the interior is an exceptional strength on an already great Bus.  Details to note include the mohair headliner, excellent dash with radio blockoff plate intact, correct pocketed cab door panels, ribbed chrome door handles with ivory escutcheons, Caramel material lining the parcel tray, and the proper Caramel hardboard panel in the luggage area, just to name a few.  Bus interiors don't get much cleaner than this.

Mechanically the Bus is completely stock with a super clean stale air 40hp engine, fully synchronized stock reduction box transaxle, stock suspension, 6 volt electrical system, and Firestone 6.40-15 wide white wall tires, too.

Overall this Bus is well above average in every department and will likely be one of the nicest Mango Microbuses you'll ever see.  Those collectors and enthusiasts who have been through the process can confirm the fact that having a Bus professionally built to this level easily eclipses the $100,000 mark and often takes at least a year or two before it is finished.  This is your chance to land a beautiful Bus at a substantial savings from the cost to build, and without the waiting!  Thanks!
