1965 Sea Blue Microbus!

1965 Sea Blue and Cumulus White Standard Microbus, Mild Custom and Tasteful!

Here's a super clean, solid, nicely-built, very complete, and tastefully stylish 1965 that's hard to beat at the price.

Some of the many features include nice-looking paintwork, safari windshields, properly lowered suspension, Porsche 944 disc brakes with Wilwood 4 piston calibers all around, fully restored genuine Porsche Fuchs Alloys, Bridgestone tires, all 3 correct seats with proper Salt and Pepper interior, and a 3/4 length VWOA roof rack, too.  All of the modifications are bolt on so the Bus could eventually be returned to stock without issue.

The body and paint work look great for a driver and was completed approximately 10 years ago.  The Bus wasn't finished until recently and has only seen 3500 miles since completed.  There are some imperfections, small dings, chips, etc. but it still looks very good overall and touching up those spots would be easy.  All of the doors, church key decklid, rear apron, and slash cut front and pointed rear bumper are correct for the Bus, too.  All of the doors handles are geniune VW, were rechromed, and function with 1 key.  The undercarriage and floors are exceptionally solid, clean, and dry as well.  Additionally, the correct front pedal pan has been powdercoated, is not installed, and will come with the Bus.

The interior is very faithful to the original with all 3 correct seats with original rear kick panel and repop middle, pinpoint vinyl headliner, Salt and Pepper (Mesh Grey) upholstery and paneling.  No sunvisors were ever installed after the new headliner, so you can roll without and not have any extra holes.  Everything inside is fresh, clean, respectable, and would certainly satisfy those seeking a cool driver Bus.  Other details to note include the freshly restored speedometer from Corona Ryan at Orange Empire Speedometer (lens has a crack in it now), and a Gene Berg shifter, too.

Mechanically this Bus has seen some spendy custom upgrades including quality lowered suspension via a 4.5” narrowed front beam by Volksfab with flipped spindles by Rizzag, beefed up straight axle transaxle that was originally built for a 2 liter, Porsche 944 disc brakes with Wilwood 4 piston calibers including functioning emergency brake, beautiful genuine 5x5.5” Porsche Fuchs Alloy wheels expertly restored by the master, Al Reed, a very clean and low mileage 1600 single port engine with external oil cooler(along with stock doghouse), and the electrical system has a completely new wiring harness and has been converted to 12 volts, too.

This Bus is a solid value for the money and would be difficult to beat at this price.  Thanks!
