1966 21 Window, Titian

1966 21 Window Walkthru Deluxe Sunroof Microbus in Titian Red and Beige Grey, Nice Respectable Driver!
Here is an impressively clean, solid, presentable, enjoyable, and genuine 21 Window Bus. It has been well taken care of, has lived a much drier life than most, and was hibernating in a garage in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 3 decades from 1986 until 2013. The Bus has been revived, received a completely fresh original style interior, and had the nose and Titian Red paint resprayed while the Beige Grey paint from the beltline up still displays nicely from an early 1980's respray. That paint was retained as it still looks plenty nice and is testimony of how exceptionally dry this Bus has been over its 48 years of life.
Some of the many features and details to note include the desirable factory Walkthru option, having the correct early seats including the short middle, being a factory 6 popout window model, nice new safari windshields, good running 1500 single port engine, 12 volt electrical conversion, new white wall tires, and much more.
The body is in very nice shape, looks good, and only required a minimal amount of welding that included the cargo rocker, 2 inches of the cargo floor threshold, the lower rearward cargo door bottom, the battery tray, and the front floor corners have solid patches that were done back in the early 1980's. The roof is excellent and never had any rust in the skylight openings. Pics of how nice they are can be seen in the extensive album of pics on my website. Additionally the original belly pans are nice and intact, the original cargo floor is clean and solid, and all doors, decklid, rear apron, doglegs, and pointed end bumpers are correct and original. Other details to note include the nice original beltline trim with some light dings as you could imagine, rocker spears, correct bumper trim, polished rear jailbars, and correct Deluxe rear seat luggage bar as well. The bumper and wheels were painted in the correct L82 Silver White as well. Depeding upon your personal taste, the window frames could stand to be repainted or continue to enjoy the Bus just as it is. The window and body rubber was also replaced with new.
The interior is exceptionally clean, fresh, and very faithfully restored in the correct Mesh Platinum/Platinum Silver design. The seats are all the correct early seats and the vinyl headliner, door panels, seat upholstery, correct kick panels, and dash paint are all fresh and new. The brown floor mats are correct and original as are the front seat stand mats and the bulkhead rubber mats as well.
Mechanically the Bus is a nice driver with an excellent running 1500 single port engine, nice shifting fully synchronized stock reduction box transaxle, nice stock brakes, fresh white wall LT radial tires, and the electrical system has been converted to 12 volts for quicker starts, brighter lights, and general added reliability.
Overall this is a very presentable, respectable, and exceedingly dry Bus that isn't too nice to drive. Many enthusiasts these days spend deep into 6 figures to restore their early Deluxes and end up with a cobbled Bus that is pretty but too nice to relax and enjoy. Often times they end up selling them off to avoid the stress of harming it. This Bus is the comfortable medium of being plenty nice enough to be proud of without being a trailer queen or white-knuckled and high-stress driving experience. Thanks!
Please note that this Bus is located in Port Orchard, Washington.
