1967 Westy SO42 Walkthru

1967 Westfalia SO42 Poptop Walkthru Camper Bus, Very Clean Driver!

This extremely clean original California black-plated Pearl White Westy was owned for many years by an elderly submariner who lived in Point Loma, California, and was very well taken care of during his decades of ownership.  Over 10 years ago it was purchased by an advanced early Bus collector who has had it as part of his large collection and he's driven it sparingly during his ownership.  The time has come for him to thin the herd and somebody is going to get a very respectable and enjoyable Camper Bus!

Some of the many features include the fresh Pearl White paint, being a desirable factory Walkthru Bus, exceptionally clean interior with incredibly nice original Westfalia flooring in the back, original California black license plates that are registered to the Bus, factory 12 volt electrics, correct pointed end bumpers, rare Competition Motors license plate frame, albeit cracked, original Blaupunkt in dash radio, and much more!

The body of this Westy is very nice, clean, presentable, and solid.  The roof and gutters are phenomenal, the nose is excellent, sides are very straight, corners are great, and the body gaps on all of the correct doors are exceptional as well.  This Bus is way above average, about as nice as you might want to drive with regularity these days.

The interior is very clean, faithful to the original design, and features correct Mesh Grey upholstery on the front seats, fresh kick and door panels while the roof liner panels are still the excellent originals in the cab.  Other details to note are the original jumpseat for the Walkthru, original and nice spice rack, folding tables, headbanger cabinet, rear Z bed, and very clean mustard upholstery on the cushions, too.

Mechanically the Bus is a driver with a 1600cc engine, stock reduction box transaxle, factory 12 volt electrics, and original 14 inch Bus wheels, too.  It is a driver although I strongly recommend going through the brakes, replacing the tires, and a small amount of shakedown work will be needed, mostly due to the fact that it hasn't been in regular use for so many years.

Overall this is an exceptionally clean, dry, well-preserved, and good-looking Westy that certainly will not last long.  Thanks!

Please note that this clean Westy is located in San Diego, California.
